Gettysburg, PA, Oct. 11, 2017 -- mhca will kick off their Fall conference of 2017 at the Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. The conference will kick off with a half-day session on October 24 focused on emerging science shaping behavioral health service delivery. This session, part of mhca’s National Innovation Incubator Program, will feature firsthand experience from executives of health and human services and technology organizations that have developed and/or implemented new and innovative technologies shaping behavioral health service delivery.
The session will feature presentations by:
- Victor Topo, MSW, President & Chief Executive Officer, Center for Life Management
- Ali Cherry, Partner Marketing Manager, Lantern
- Chuck Tepper, Vice President of Public Partnerships, myStrength
- Monica E. Oss, Chief Executive Officer, OPEN MINDS
This session will begin with an executive update from OPEN MINDS chief executive officer, Monica E. Oss, on how technological advancements and emerging therapies are transforming the way that behavioral health care organizations are providing services. Following Oss’ update, executives from health and human service organizations will share how they have successfully implemented new scientific therapies or technologies to improve service delivery. Attendees will also hear case studies from technology organizations of providers that have implemented their innovative technologies to transform service delivery across their organizations. The day will end with an interactive discussion session with attendees and panelists regarding best practices for deciding which emerging science and technologies will be most effective for their organizations.
“Technology and scientific discoveries touch all parts of humanity — behavioral health organizations are not immune to the technology revolution. Considering which technologies are best for your practice will take careful evaluation,” said Oss. “Before health and human services organizations make a large financial investment in the service delivery options of the future, they need to evaluate the efficacy and appropriateness for their specific organizations.”
Since August 2014, mhca Innovation Incubators have continued to provide leaders in the behavioral health industry with a unique opportunity to collaborate with peers and learn innovative strategies and techniques for remaining sustainable. This think-tank style approach to innovation has provided invaluable opportunities to behavioral health executives across the U.S. to recognize and understand emerging trends and develop new and improved products and services within their organizations.
Join mhca and OPEN MINDS at the next Innovation Incubator to give your organization the tools, tips, and tricks you need to not only survive, but thrive in the changing health and human services environment.
