Emmy Award-winning Journalist and Host María Celeste Arrarás Named Recipient of Hispanicize 2018 Latinovator Award

MIAMI, April 18, 2018 -- María Celeste Arrarás, the Emmy Award-winning journalist who is one of the nation’s most respected and best-known Spanish-language television news personalities, will receive the Hispanicize 2018 Latinovator Award. The highly respected host of the top newsmagazine show on U.S. Hispanic television “Al Rojo Vivo con Maria Celeste,” will kick-off the special ‘Community Day’ breakfast at Hispanicize presented in partnership with the event’s flagship partner Prudential Financial on Thursday, April 19th. Maria Celeste will be honored on April 19th, the final day of the Hispanicize event in Miami’s JW Marriott Marquis (www.HispanicizeEvent.com) at 9 AM. The other 2018 Latinovators are social media sensation, LeJuan James, and Latina music legend, Olga Tañon.

The Latinovator Awards recognize Latino celebrities, business professionals and other high achievers who have become successes or whose stories of achievements are remarkable or inspirational.

María Celeste has been a guest host for NBC’s “TODAY” show and has collaborated with “Dateline” and “NBC Nightly News.” She has been featured on the cover of People en Español more than 14 times and was selected by Newsweek to appear on the cover of its “20 Most Powerful Women of the Next Generation” issue of 2009. María Celeste has been profiled in numerous articles on a wide range of publications, including The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Washington Post and The Miami Herald. People en Español recognized her as the best news anchor of 2012 in its end-of-year issue.
