‘Empire’ season 3’s episode 13, titled “My Naked Villainy,” will follow Anika as she shows her true intentions with Lucious in critical condition. Meanwhile, Giuliana and Cookie will compete for power.
The synopsis for “My Naked Villainy” posted on TV Guide reads, “Hakeem (Bryshere Gray) throws an epic 21st birthday party and live-streams it all on Empire Xstream. Meanwhile, suspicions surrounding Anika's (Grace Gealey) motives put the Lyons on high alert and the arrival of Giuliana (Nia Long) gives Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) a run for her money.”
The upcoming episode is set to bring in more drama for the Lyons family. The promo hints at Lucious’ health deteriorating. He is seen struggling with his condition with the aid of a mechanical ventilator.
Cookie is obviously scared for his life as she gets flashbacks of their time together. She says in a voice-over, “Lucious was the very air that I breathe. The blood pumping through my veins. That’s a feeling that you never let go of.”
However, it seems that Anika is plotting something quite sinister in the background as she has some bad intentions of her own. By the end of the promo, Anika tells Lucious, “If you die, I get everything. We didn’t sign that pre-nup.” She then proceeds to block the airway from the ventilator in an attempt to stop oxygen from reaching Lucious.
In the previous episode, titled "Strange Bedfellows," Lucious and Cookie threatened to let Leah (Leslie Uggams) kill Anika unless she turns on Tariq (Morocco Omari).
Meanwhile, it seems that Giuliana’s arrival back on the scene will put Cookie on the edge. Promotional photographs posted on Spoilers Guide shows Giuliana looking strong and confident as she returns to theaten the Lyons’ hold over Empire Entertainment.
Although Giuliana is not one to back down in a fight, it seems that Cookie will do everything in her power to stop her from taking over the family business.
‘Empire’ season 3’s episode 13, titled “My Naked Villainy,” is scheduled to be released on Fox on April 12, 2017. It will be followed by episode 14, titled "Love is a Smoke," scheduled to air on April 26.
