‘Empire’ Season 3, Episode 14 Spoilers: “Love Is A Smoke” – Angelo Proposes Marriage to Cookie, Giuliana Makes Move on Lucious

‘Empire’ season 3’s episode 14, titled “Love Is A Smoke,” is set to follow Cookie as she gets a marriage proposal from Angelo. Meanwhile, Giuliana is set to make a move on Lucious in attempts to make Cookie jealous.

The synopsis for “Love Is A Smoke” posted on TV Guide reads, “Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) gives Lucious (Terrence Howard) unexpected news that makes him feel uneasy about the future. Hoping to make Cookie jealous, Giuliana (guest star Nia Long) moves in on Lucious and persuades him to comply with her new plans.

Meanwhile, Anika (Grace Gealey) and Tariq (Morocco Omari) devise a new plan and Charlotte Frost (guest star Eva Longoria) holds the EMPIRE Las Vegas dream in her hands.”

In the upcoming episode, Cookie is set to drop some shocking news for Lucious. In the promo, she explains that Angelo (guest star Taye Diggs) has been hinting about an imminent marriage proposal. She is obviously looking for the right words to say as she considers how this new development in her relationship will change things in her life with her ex-husband.

Lucious only replies, “Whatever you and him got, it ain’t nothin’ compared to what we had.” The promo also contains scenes of Cookie and Lucious’ past romance. By the end of the promo, Angelo holds up a large engagement ring and tells Cookie, “I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Cookie. Will you marry me?”

It will be interesting to see how Cookie will react to Angelo’s proposal considering the fact that she still has feelings for Lucios.

Meanwhile, Giuliana will scheme to get closer to Lucious in attempts to make Cookie jealous. She will try and get him to agree with her new plans. In the promo, it is revealed that Giuliana and Lucious already know each other quite well. When they share a kiss, Cookie is seen looking unnerved.

The promo also hints at Charlotte’s key role in the series. According to International Business Times, Longoria’s Charlotte is the director of the state gaming commission, who will scrutinize Andre's (Trai Byers) business plan for EMPIRE Las Vegas.

‘Empire’ season 3’s episode 14, titled “Love Is A Smoke,” is scheduled to be released on Fox on April 26, 2017. It will be followed by episode 15, titled “Civil Hands Unclean”, and is scheduled to air on May 3.
