Endeavour Mining plc paused operations at Mana’s three active underground portals in Burkina Faso after part of an access ramp sank Oct. 28, restricting entry and prompting a ground assessment.

The affected ramp leads to the depleted Wona open pit. Ground movement restricted access to the Dangouna and Aviera portals, while the suspension across all three active sites allows the company to analyze conditions and assess repairs.

Emergency procedures began after the incident. All underground workers were evacuated and authorities in Burkina Faso were notified; Endeavour said no one was harmed.

To limit the disruption’s effect on Mana’s production, the company is weighing a restart and increased mining at the still-accessible Wona portal, along with work at nearby open pits. Endeavour said it remains on course to meet its 2026 group production and AISC guidance.

The company plans to share the geotechnical assessment and repair plan with its third-quarter results on Nov. 12.
