Anadolu Agency reported that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a closed-door bilateral meeting after Friday's 13th Heads of State Summit of the Organization of Turkic States.

Anadolu said the talks took place at Ankara's Presidential Complex. Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry told Report.az that the agenda included bilateral relations, cooperation within the OTS and regional issues. The ministry also said they discussed strengthening allied ties and unity across the Turkic world.

Reuters reported that Bayramov represented Azerbaijan at the summit in President Ilham Aliyev's absence, a development covered in EconoTimes' earlier report.
