BURBANK, Calif., Nov. 16, 2017 -- EstrellaTV, the fastest growing, minority owned Spanish language network in the U.S. announced today that the 2017 Spanish-language transmission of the Miss World competition will be broadcast on its network on Saturday, November 18 from 7-9PM E/6-8PM C.
Miss World is the longest running event of its kind and this year the pageant will take place in the exotic island of Bali with a total of 130 contestants from all over the world. The organization’s long-running message of “Beauty With a Purpose,” is a theme that has been associated with social responsibility and fundraising of millions of dollars every year for charitable causes around the globe, and a mission that is in line with EstrellaTV’s own core values and principles.
Now in its 65th year, the Miss World beauty pageant is broadcast in 180 countries and is viewed by billions of people worldwide. EstrellaTV joins the ranks of global networks to add the show to its programming line-up, which also includes Paris Premiere in France, CTC in Russia, Zee TV in India and E! Entertainment Television, which will broadcast the pageant for English-speaking audiences in the U.S.
“At EstrellaTV, we are pleased to bring this world class event to Hispanic audiences in the U.S. It is the first time that we are airing such an event and look forward to positive audience feedback to this global brand,” stated Lenard Liberman, CEO, LBI Media, parent company to EstrellaTV Network.
