Passport is drawn from looks past and present, near and far: from India’s hand-knotted rugs to campaign-style dressers, from Ming Dynasty-inspired display cabinets to occasional tables that hint at pagodas, from woven rattan chairs designed in the rich tradition of British Colonial style to Otami-inspired artwork.
“We created Passport as a celebration of cultural influences from around the world. It's designed to 'wow' while also being warm, authentic, and livable,” said Farooq Kathwari, President, Chairman and CEO, Ethan Allen Interiors Inc. "Our designers focused on every detail, bringing in exquisite textures, fabrics, and patterns. We hope it brings home the feeling of having been somewhere wonderful."
Passport blends new furnishing and décor options with in-line favorites. New offerings include the Astor, a shelter-framed sofa with a touch of transitional glamour; the deep-seated, English inspired, clubby Malone chair; the curvaceous Corin dining table; and the Callum home office line that recalls the simplicity and efficiency of British campaign style.
Another Passport highlight is its selection of home bar offerings: the Carys, a Spanish Colonial-style bar cabinet with ample storage and prep space; and the Lora, a tropically inspired, small-scale open rattan bar. For the bedroom, Passport unveils the versatile upholstered Colton bed, available in multiple headboard heights and styles; with multiple base options, including a platform with a spacious storage drawer; and with multiple high-performance fabric and leather choices. Passport also incorporates a new generation of accessories, including colorful, textured pillows, artwork inspired by global motifs, and all-new lighting and decorative accents.
Passport is now on display at Ethan Allen Design Centers; clients looking to add global sophistication to their spaces can also receive complimentary design assistance from any Ethan Allen design consultant.
