Ether (ETH) fell 1.26% in a one-hour Binance spot reading ending at 7:35 p.m. ET Tuesday, while long liquidations across three exchanges totaled $5.56 million, far above the amount for short positions.

The tally covered Binance, Bybit and OKX. Long liquidations were $5.56 million, compared with $10,000 for shorts. The tally was heavily skewed toward positions that had been betting on higher prices.

Binance’s ETH/USDT pair was quoted at $2,260 at 7:35 p.m. ET Tuesday (00:35 UTC Wednesday), compared with $2,289 an hour earlier. Ether was still up 0.06% over the preceding 24 hours in that snapshot.

CoinGecko and exchange spot data put Ether at $2,267.03 as of 7:51 p.m. ET Tuesday (00:51 UTC Wednesday), up 0.49% over 24 hours. That reading came later than the hourly Binance snapshot.

A previous EconoTimes report on $15.9 million in Ether long liquidations during a Binance price decline covered a separate episode.
