Ether (ETH) short liquidations reached $6.65 million across Binance, Bybit and OKX in the hour to 11:05 a.m. ET Oct. 21, while the Binance spot price rose 1.29%.

Long liquidations totaled $270,000 in the same hour, leaving the short figure about 24.6 times higher. At 11:05 a.m. ET (15:05 UTC), Binance’s ETH/USDT spot pair stood at $2,501, up from $2,469 an hour earlier.

The 24-hour reading at that time showed a 1.57% gain, covering a longer period than the hourly move. Ether’s market capitalization was about $301.3 billion, ranking it second among crypto assets.

The price reference came from Binance’s spot market, while the liquidation tally combined activity on Binance, Bybit and OKX. A previous EconoTimes report on Oct. 20 covered a different one-hour window, when short-position liquidations reached $8.24 million and long-position liquidations totaled $240,000. That earlier hour ended at 10:02 a.m. ET (14:02 UTC).
