Etihad Airways has canceled all flights between Abu Dhabi and Riyadh and Dammam through Nov. 5, while Lufthansa Group’s planned Dubai service would add travel options between the United Arab Emirates and Europe.

Lufthansa Group’s timetable calls for five weekly Munich-Dubai flights starting Oct. 25 and up to five weekly Frankfurt-Dubai flights starting Oct. 26. The group says its Dubai network could reach 36 flights a week at peak service. That figure describes its planned schedule, rather than flights already operated.

Etihad also lists Abu Dhabi-Jeddah flights EY601 and EY603, along with return flights EY602 and EY604, as canceled through Nov. 5. The airline cites regional disruption and says schedules may change. The cancellations are among the Saudi flight suspensions listed by carriers.

Gulf News reported that an Oct. 26 airport-board snapshot showed Saudia flight SV596 from Riyadh canceled as a Dubai arrival. It also listed two Abu Dhabi arrivals at revised times: EY201 from Mumbai moved from 5 a.m. to 5:35 a.m. ET, and EY403 from Bangkok moved from 4:35 a.m. to 5:50 a.m. ET. Flight FZ832, operated by flydubai from Jeddah to Dubai, moved from 3:20 a.m. to 3:57 a.m. ET. Those times are converted from UAE local time, and the listings can change.

The planned Europe services and the selected arrival listings cover different routes. They do not establish a UAE-wide decline in cancellations.

At Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport, an advisory effective Oct. 25 assigned domestic flights to Terminal 1 and international flights operated by Saudi national carriers to Terminal 2. The airport advised passengers to confirm bookings and flight status with their airlines before traveling.

Lufthansa Group also schedules Eurowings Dubai routes beginning in November and Austrian Airlines’ Vienna service from Dec. 12. Its next listed start is SWISS’s daily Zurich-Dubai service on Oct. 27.
