The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating after United Flight 1681 returned to Las Vegas Saturday night following a reported passenger disturbance, disrupting a Newark trip.

The FAA said the Boeing 737 returned safely to Harry Reid International Airport at about 2:05 a.m. ET Sunday (06:05 UTC), or 11:05 p.m. Saturday in Las Vegas. The agency said the crew had reported a passenger disturbance and that it is investigating.

Call audio obtained by CBS News captures the pilot telling air traffic control that a flight attendant had alerted him to a passenger’s message about hijacking the aircraft.

The flight was carrying 150 passengers and six crew members, The Independent reported, citing CBS News. Authorities said all passengers were removed from the aircraft and inspected. The Independent reported no injuries.

United said the overnight delay resulted from a crew timeout.
