The FBI added Mary Carole McDonnell to its Most Wanted Fraudsters list on Oct. 14, citing an alleged $14.7 million loss at Banc of California and a wider fraud investigation.

The FBI’s wanted profile says the alleged scheme ran from July 2017 to May 2018. It separately estimates losses of more than $15 million from alleged similar conduct involving other financial institutions.

The bureau says McDonnell claimed a family connection to the McDonnell aircraft family and said she would be able to access an $80 million trust. The FBI profile records a federal warrant dated Dec. 12, 2018, following charges of bank fraud and aggravated identity theft.

The FBI believes McDonnell may be in Dubai and lists ties to Los Angeles and Montgomery, Alabama. The bureau introduced its Most Wanted Fraudsters list in June 2026 to seek public help in major fraud cases; the initiative is separate from the agency’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.

A tip leading to McDonnell’s arrest and conviction could qualify for a reward of up to $150,000, the FBI says. People with information can contact a local FBI office, a U.S. Embassy or Consulate, or use the bureau’s online tip service.
