The Fed’s calendar schedules its Oct. 28 policy statement for 2 p.m. ET (18:00 UTC), which puts the release at 7 p.m. CET in Berlin during a temporary clock gap.

The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the Fed’s policy-setting panel, meets Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 27-28. The Fed calendar sets its news conference for 2:30 p.m. ET (18:30 UTC) Wednesday, or 7:30 p.m. CET in Berlin.

Germany changed its clocks Sunday, Oct. 25, while the U.S. shift is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 1. That sequence shortens the usual six-hour difference between Berlin and New York to five hours for a week; the six-hour gap returns after the U.S. change.

The Fed meeting starts a three-day sequence of policy decisions that continues with the European Central Bank on Thursday, Oct. 29, and the Bank of Japan on Friday, Oct. 30.

Deribit’s rules set monthly Bitcoin options to expire at 4 a.m. ET (08:00 UTC) on the final Friday of each month. The Oct. 30 expiry falls at 9 a.m. CET in Berlin.
