‘Feud’ Season 3 Spoilers: Creators Tease Planning Ahead Even Before Season 1 Finale Airs on FX; Ryan Murphy Confirms Homosexual Character

‘Feud’ season 3 creators teased that they were already planning ahead even before the season 1 finale starring Jessica Lange as Joan Crawford and Susan Sarandon as Bette Davis airs on FX on April 23. Ryan Murphy confirmed that one of the characters for the third season will be homosexual.

Season 1, titled Feud: Bette and Joan, is yet to air its finale but the series creators have already teased plans for the third season’s subject matter during a finale screening last April 18 at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York. According to Variety, co-showrunner Tim Minear said, “I will be [involved in future seasons]… Not the Diana season, but possibly a third season.” Minear also revealed that he already knew what season 3 will be about but declined to give more details.

According to Vanity Fair, creator Ryan Murphy revealed that he is in talks to collaborate a male-to-male follow-up for the third season with Mark Ruffalo. He said, “I have one good idea, but I have to get the right actors… It’s something Mark Ruffalo and I had talked about hearing. He’s a buddy of mine from The Normal Heart, so we talked about something, but I don’t know yet. I haven’t locked into it.” Although Murphy didn’t reveal more details, he teased, “Well, one of the characters is gay.”

The anthology television series was created by Murphy of ‘American Horror Story’ and ‘Glee’ fame for FX. Season 1 consists of eight episodes and chronicles the rivalry between classic Hollywood actresses Bette Davis and Joan Crawford during and after the production of their 1962 psychological thriller film ‘What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?’

Murphy revealed how he planned to end the show when the finale, titled "You Mean All This Time We Could Have Been Friends?," airs on FX on April 23. He said, “For the last episode, I always wanted to do a ’70s episode about what happened to both those women in that decade.”

Season 2 was renewed by FX last February 2017 and will consist of 10 episodes, titled ‘Charles and Diana.’ According to Entertainment Weekly, the upcoming season will focus on the relationship between Prince Charles and Princess Diana and is expected to premiere some time in 2018.

‘Feud’ season 3’s official premiere date is yet to be announced. The series is presented in a way that dramatizes famous events in history.
