First Abu Dhabi Bank’s third-quarter net profit rose 6% from a year earlier to Dh5.73 billion, while impairment charges also increased, the lender said in a statement to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.

Net fee and commission income was the faster-growing revenue line, reaching Dh1.4 billion after a 16% annual increase. Net interest income totaled Dh4.8 billion, nearly 7% above the year-earlier quarter.

Net impairment charges came to Dh1 billion in the three months through September. They had totaled Dh850 million in the same quarter of the previous year.

Across the first nine months of 2026, net profit reached Dh16.4 billion, a 3% rise from the comparable period a year earlier.

Group Chief Executive Hana Al Rostamani said the results reflected gains across the bank’s businesses and continued growth of its global franchise. She said the bank also maintained a strong financial position while delivering consistent returns.
