Five shares identified by ETMarkets as BSE 1000 members touched 52-week intraday highs on Oct. 21, even as India’s Sensex fell and all five finished below their session peaks.

ETMarkets listed PC Jeweller’s high at ₹19.14 and close at ₹18.51. Sky Gold and Diamonds reached ₹1,083 and ended at ₹1,045.10. HFCL peaked at ₹282.10 and closed at ₹264.85, while South Indian Bank touched ₹56.21 and finished at ₹54.92. Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem reached ₹2,109.95 before closing at ₹1,882.10.

A 52-week high marks the highest price a share has traded at during the preceding year. Reaching that level during a session does not mean the share closes there. BSE says its BSE 1000 represents 1,000 companies chosen from its AllCap universe based on size and trading liquidity.

ETMarkets reported approximate gains over roughly one month of 45% for PC Jeweller, 32% for Sky Gold and Diamonds, 24% for HFCL, 21% for South Indian Bank and 7% for Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem. The figures are the outlet’s estimates.

EconoTimes previously reported a 42.53% one-month rise for PC Jeweller shares.

The Sensex closed at 73,709.69, down 143.21 points, or 0.19%, on Oct. 21. The benchmark’s decline contrasted with the five shares’ intraday records, though each ended below its own session high.
