France 24’s Oct. 29 video examines Epstein-related records and their possible political impact on President Donald Trump during the U.S. midterm campaign.
The U.S. Department of Justice said its Jan. 30, 2026, release added more than 3 million pages under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, bringing total production, including earlier releases, to nearly 3.5 million pages. France 24 describes the records reviewed by its journalists as 3 million documents. The figures use different units: the department counts pages, while France 24 refers to documents.
The video features France 24 journalists Samia Metheni and Ava Luquet reviewing the records, followed by Luquet answering interviewer François Picard’s questions.
Bloomberg reported that Trump expressed openness to releasing Epstein-related files during his 2024 campaign and later urged the public and Congress to move on. Bloomberg News quoted White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis as saying Trump had been “totally exonerated on anything related to Epstein.”
Bloomberg also reported that Garcia made disclosure and accountability part of Democrats’ prospective House agenda, presenting the effort as a way to pursue justice for survivors. The outlet said the proposal could bring banks and executives under investigation and described the issue as a possible Republican vulnerability in the midterms. EconoTimes previously covered Garcia’s proposed House agenda on the Epstein files.
