France 24 said public frustration over household finances and institutional trust is surfacing in French protests and the U.S. midterm campaign, connecting street demonstrations and electoral politics.
In its Tuesday segment, the broadcaster treated the French protests and U.S. election campaign as different expressions of broad frustration. It cited high living costs, reduced confidence in institutions and strain on social obligations as concerns appearing in both countries.
The segment also placed the comparison in a longer political context, describing public anger as a recurring force behind political change.
