The installment that precedes “Fruits Basket 2019” episode 11 gives fans plenty of clues on the next events in the anime series. Since episode 10 revolved around the celebration of Valentine’s Day, this week’s episode will see a month-long time skip to the White Day.
In real life, White Day happens on March 14 and is celebrated in some countries like Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and more. The idea is for men to reciprocate the gifts that women gave them on Valentine’s Day. Since Tohru gave the Sohma’s home-made chocolates, Momiji arrives in “Fruits Basket 2019” episode 11 to invite her to a hot spring inn owned by their family.
“Fruits Basket 2019” episode 11 is titled “This Is a Wonderful Inn” that clearly hints it will focus on their time at the hot spring. This also means that a new member of the Sohma clan will be introduced. As soon as Tohru, Momiji, Kyo, and Yuki arrive at the hot springs, they will be greeted by Okami Sohma who runs the place.
At first, Tohru wonders if Okami knows about the Sohma zodiac curse something that will be confirmed later in “Fruits Basket 2019” episode 11. While relaxing at the hot spring, Okami joins Tohru and reveals that she is, in fact, Ritsu’s mother. Ritsu has yet to be introduced in the 2019 anime series, but he is cursed by the monkey zodiac and is another interesting character.
Fans might be wondering how Kyo was convinced to join this White Day trip with Yuki. It is possible that at the start of “Fruits Basket 2019” episode 11, the Sohma boys will learn that Tohru spent all her work earnings to give them chocolates. However, it also means Tohru sacrificed not paying her school dues for an upcoming trip. Touched by her thoughtfulness, Kyo later agrees to join their trip to the inn. “Fruits Basket 2019” episode 11 will air on Friday, June 14.
