Netflix has yet to confirm “Fuller House” season 5. But once it does, there is a great chance that Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) will be the main focus of the next episodes.
First, it is important to note that the show successfully writes each character for ample room to grow throughout seasons 1 to 4. But in every installment, there seems to be one character in the center of everything and it could be the same case for “Fuller House” season 5.
Stephanie, D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), and Kimmy (Andrea Barber) were all written to have remarkable highlights in “Fuller House” season 4. D.J., for example, finally faced the music and allowed herself to completely fall in love with Steve (Scott Weinger) all over again. However, Bure previously told E! News that Kimmy’s then pregnancy was “the focus of season 4” which was what transpired in the latest 13 episodes.
Stephanie has already gone through so many changes, especially after fulfilling her dream of becoming a mother in the season 4 finale. And these life events are yet to be explored, making them a rich source of material for “Fuller House” season 5. Once Netflix renews the series, it will definitely pick up from Stephanie and Jimmy’s (Adam Hagenbuch) surprise engagement from the season 4 finale.
Note that in the season 3 finale, Kimmy’s pregnancy was announced. Then she gave birth to Stephanie’s daughter by the end of season 4. This might be telling fans that “Fuller House” season 5 could be concluding with a romantic wedding. Fans who know Stephanie and Jimmy so well are likely expecting a very interesting running storyline of wedding planning and preparations for the next season. Screen Rant even suggests the possibility that Kimmy and D.J. are also getting married on the same day as Stephanie.
Aside from the obvious wedding plot, “Fuller House” season 5 will most likely explore the changes Stephanie and Jimmy will go through as new parents. While they are obviously joyful at the arrival of their little one, they (Jimmy, especially) certainly have many things to learn. And fans can be certain that aunt Kimmy and aunt D.J. will be there every step of the way.
