Lots of economic data and events scheduled for today, and some with high volatility risks associated.

Data released so far:

  • Australia: National Australia Bank’s business conditions index rose to 21, business confidence declined to 9. Investment lending for homes up 1.1 percent in January. Home loans declined 1.1 percent.
     
  • Japan: Tertiary industry index declined 0.6 percent in February.

Upcoming:

  • France: Fourth quarter payrolls report will be released at 6:00 GMT.
     
  • Spain: HICP inflation report will be released at 8:00 GMT.
     
  • United States: NFIB business optimism index will be updated at 11:00 GMT, followed by the release of CPI inflation report at 12:30 GMT.
     
  • New Zealand: Fourth-quarter current account report will be released at 21:45 GMT.
     
  • Australia: RBA asst. Governor Kent is set for a speech at 22:00 GMT.
     
  • Japan: Machinery orders report will be released at 23:50 GMT.
     
  • Auction: The  U.S. will auction 1-month bills at 15:30 GMT, and 30-year bond at 17:00 GMT.
