Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Release Date, Specs, Feature Updates: Coral Blue Variant Leaked

Image via Reuters/Reuters Staff

With the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 release getting closer and closer, another leak regarding the anticipated phablet series has been rounded up.

The phablet has already been the subject of many security leaks such as the leaked FCC approval for the Galaxy Note 9, which confirmed its existence, and the first-hand review of the Note 9 by a wayward model that fell into Russian reviewer Eldar Murtazin's lap.

The review by Murtazin confirmed a lot of features speculated on the phone, such as the new S Pen, which will be powered and have Bluetooth capability, compared to the unpowered styluses of previous Galaxy Note models. While most reviewers see the Galaxy Note 9 as a stepping stone for Samsung due to the lack of more exciting features such as in-display fingerprint reader, fans of the brand who are anticipating the Galaxy Note 9 phablet are still getting a treat from the more recent leaks.

MySmartPrice was able to exclusively acquire recent promotional renders of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The renders showed the phablet in a coral blue variant compared to the black renders that most leaks had featured. The leak also includes a reference to the date of Aug. 24, which may point to the official release date of the Note 9 after its Aug. 9 debut.

For those not interested in the coral blue reskin of the Galaxy Note 9, a lilac purple version of the phablet was also leaked much earlier by the Dutch site NieuweMobiel.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is set to debut on Aug. 9 at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event in New York. Those looking forward to the event can also live-stream the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and other Samsung products to debut from the comfort of their homes. While no official retail release date has been provided, much speculation has been around a potential release for Aug. 24.
