“Game Of Thrones” Spoilers: Emilia Clarke Responds To A Major Jon Snow-Daenerys Fan Theory; Redditor Suggests A Different Fate For The Mother Of Dragons

“Game of Thrones” has always inspired a fresh batch of theories that range from the possible to the most craziest. It also inspired some potential matchups, like the fan theory about possible blood relatives Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) ending up together in the HBO show’s final season. According to the theory, the two Iron Throne contenders are actually related, thanks to Jon Snow’s parentage (Ned Stark’s sister Lyanna and Rhaegar Targaryen).

Clarke has since responded to the fan theory and shared her insights about it. In an interview with Style Magazine, the actress said her character will most likely frown on the possibility that she would be sharing the title. She said, "I think that she has ultimately put aside her own need for a man. She is so engaged and wrapped up in leading and being the queen and ruling and fulfilling her birth right that the idea of someone coming in and sharing that title is probably something she's not comfortable with."

On the other hand, a Redditor suggests that the union might not happen because of Dany’s duty and eventual fate. According to the Redditor, the prophecy hints that Dany will not seize the Iron Throne, but instead confront the White Walkers, and will end up dead doing so. The Redditor also suggests that following her death, Dany will reunite with her Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) and the son she sacrificed in her attempt to save her husband.

"As Daenerys walks through the blizzard, she sees a Dothraki tent. But this isn't any Dothraki tent; this is the same tent where the witch sacrificed her son to 'save' Drogo. This is the same tent where she smothered Drogo. This is the tent where Mirri Maz Duur claimed 'the dead will dance here tonight.' The tent she sees in the blizzard symbolizes death. When she enters the tent, she sees the dead. Drogo and her son. Her entering this tent, in the midst of the blizzard beyond the wall, is in-your-face prophecy. Daenerys will die fighting the White Walkers beyond the wall, after seizing the Iron Throne for herself. When greeted by Drogo, she looks at him and says, 'This is dark magic. Like the magic that took you from me. Took you from me before I could even . . . Maybe I am dead and I just don't know it yet.' Drogo tells her that he refused to enter the Night Lands without her. . . He continues to wait for her, in the tent of death, in the blizzard, beyond the wall," part of that prophecy read.
