Gartner, Inc. raised its minimum 2026 financial targets as it reported higher third-quarter adjusted earnings, giving investors a stronger full-year outlook despite a decline in reported revenue.
The business and technology insights company now projects at least $6.405 billion in adjusted revenue, $1.615 billion in adjusted EBITDA excluding a divested operation, $14.65 in adjusted earnings per share and $1.235 billion in free cash flow. Its previous minimums, issued Aug. 4, were $6.375 billion, $1.57 billion, $14 and $1.185 billion, respectively.
Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 fell 1.3% from a year earlier to $1.505 billion. On an adjusted basis, revenue rose 2.4% to $1.505 billion from $1.469 billion. Gartner excludes $55 million in 2025 Digital Markets revenue from that adjusted comparison, accounting for the different directions of the two growth rates.
Adjusted earnings per share increased to $3.59 from $2.76. Adjusted EBITDA excluding the divested operation rose 7.5% to $364 million, while free cash flow grew 2.2% to $275 million.
Net income reached $214 million, compared with $35 million in the year-earlier quarter. The 2025 period included a $150 million goodwill impairment charge; the latest quarter had no such charge, affecting the comparison in reported profit.
Contract value reached $5.3 billion at foreign-exchange-neutral rates, up 2.5% from a year earlier and 1.1% from the previous quarter. Gartner Chairman and CEO Gene Hall said four measures, including revenue and free cash flow, exceeded the company’s expectations.
Gartner included its results release in a Form 8-K filed with the SEC on Nov. 3. The filing also lists disclosures covering operating results, Regulation FD and financial statements and exhibits.
