Gate has expanded its stock-trading service into Taiwan, allowing customers to trade 19 equities listed there using Tether (USDT), extending access to a market beyond its existing U.S., Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan offerings.
Gate lists the account's share values and returns in New Taiwan dollars (TWD). It assesses fees in USDT based on platform rates and the currency rates that apply.
The initial group includes 广达 (2382), 台积电 (2330), 联发科 (2454) and 鸿海 (2317). The shares represent several sectors, including chipmakers, AI-related businesses, electronics manufacturers and financial firms.
Customers with existing Gate stock accounts can trade the securities, manage holdings and review transaction records. They can use USDT without first converting funds into TWD.
Across the U.S., Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan, Gate lists more than 12,800 stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). In October, the company announced Gate Money, a service designed to bring cryptocurrency, stock trading and payments together.
Gate has also said it completed USDT dividend credits for U.S.-listed shares and ETFs for eligible holders.
