Gate appeared in third place on two different measures of exchange activity: about $147 million in rolling seven-day net inflows reported Oct. 20 and $396.4 billion in September derivatives trades.
The seven-day figure appeared in reporting published at 9:35 a.m. ET on Oct. 20. It describes net flows through wallets associated with the centralized crypto exchange over a moving period, rather than a fixed calendar week.
An earlier reading of Gate-associated wallets covered 30 days and exceeded $199 million, placing the exchange second. The two inflow totals cover different rolling periods and cannot be treated as readings for the same span of time.
CoinDesk Research calculated $396.4 billion in September derivatives trades at Gate, placing it third in its global review. The firm disclosed that Gate supported the research. That trade total measures a different activity from wallet flows, as earlier EconoTimes coverage of Gate’s September derivatives ranking explained.
