‘Girl Meets World’ season 3, episode 10 is set to feature the return of Mr. George Feeny as he will officiate Shawn and Katy’s wedding. Meanwhile, Maya is seen interrupting her mother’s ceremony and may cause problems for the two.
The incoming episode is set to feature a wedding between Shawn (Rider Strong) and Katy (Cheryl Texiera). A photograph posted on Carter Matt showed the two at the altar looking blissful as they are preparing to become husband and wife. Cory (Ben Savage), Topanga (Danielle Fishel), Riley (Rowan Blanchard), and Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) are also seen as part of the wedding entourage.
It may seem that everything will end well for Shawn and Katy but the episode’s teaser showed otherwise. The promo opens to Shawn and Katy announcing their plans on getting hitched while Maya looks on in doubt.
Maya then tells her mother and her boyfriend, “Prove you’re ready.” Shawn asks, “Right now?” to which Maya challenges, “Right now.” The scene cuts to Katy ushered by Cory towards the head of the altar during the wedding ceremony. Mr. Feeny then makes a surprise appearance as the ceremony’s officiant.
By the end of the promo, Maya seems extremely uncomfortable as she stands alongside Topanga and Riley before finally speaking out to interrupt the wedding.
It seems that Maya is yet to come to terms with the fact that her mother is intending to spend her life with Shawn. She is noticeably agitated with the idea of big changes despite knowing that Shawn loves her and her mother dearly.
Meanwhile, according to People, William Daniels makes a return cameo as Mr. George Feeny in the incoming episode. The iconic character first appeared on the original television series ‘Boy Meets World’ as Cory and Shawn’s grade-school teacher and has since become both their mentor and good friend. Mr. Feeny made a cameo on the ‘Girl Meets World’ pilot episode.
‘Girl Meets World’ is a coming-of-age sitcom intended as the sequel to the popular television sitcom ‘Boy Meets World’ from the 1990s. It was created for the Disney Channel by Michael Jacobs and April Kelly. Season 3’s episode 10, entitled “Girl Meets I Do”, will air on August 12, 2016.
