‘Girl Meets World’ Season 3, Episode 12 Spoilers: "Girl Meets Bear" Explores Possibility of New Love Triangle; Zay Admits Feelings for Maya Despite Josh’s Return?

‘Girl Meets World’ season 3’s episode 12, entitled “Girl Meets Bear”, is set to explore the possibility of a new triangle. In the promo, Zay looks to be confronting Maya about his feelings despite Josh’s return back in town.

The incoming episode’s synopsis posted on Chatt Sports Net reads, “It’s a state of emergency in the Matthews household when Riley’s childhood teddy bear, Barry, is missing; Riley gathers a search party.”

The synopsis didn’t reveal additional details for episode 12 except for Riley’s (Rowan Blanchard) impending search for a missing stuffed toy. However, it was suggested that Auggie (August Maturo) may find a pair of silver boxing gloves that could be the same ones Cory (Ben Savage) lost in a memorable episode in the original television series ‘Boy Meets World’.

Episode 12’s promo opened to Riley exclaiming, “Something’s gone!” The entire Matthews household is then seen turned upside down as the family searches for Riley’s missing teddy bear. In later scenes, Zay (Amir Mitchell-Townes) is seen confronting Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) about something important that may affect their friendship.

Zay tells a surprised Maya, “There’s a lot that’s probably gonna happen to us so I want you to know…” Maya is then seen extremely surprised at the revelation.

Meanwhile, a Twitter post from Girl Meets Writers (@GMWWriters) teased possible complications in Josh (Uriah Shelton) and Maya’s relationship. It read, “This Friday: Riley confronts the world.
Next Friday: Zay confronts Joshaya.” It suggested that Zay may have feelings for Maya and this would make things difficult for Josh and Maya.

According to Carter Matt, Zay may have had feelings for Maya all along and is set to admit these feelings in the incoming episode. With Josh back in the picture, the three may be caught in an accidental love triangle.

Josh and Maya had been long time mutual crushes. Maya had been romantically interested in Josh since the first time they met but Josh tried to deny the feelings because of their three-year age gap.

However, Josh finally admitted that he reciprocated her feelings in the episode ‘Girl Meets Ski Lodge Pt. 2’ and they both agreed to wait until they were older to get into a real relationship.

‘Girl Meets World’ season 3’s episode 12, entitled “Girl Meets Bear”, is scheduled to premiere on the Disney Channel on August 26, 2016.
