Global Geopolitical Series: All geopolitical battles are on hold until November

As the U.S. mid-term election approaches, all major geopolitical battles are on hold for the moment, simply because, this is one of the most important mid-term elections in the U.S. history.

President Trump has initiated a major peace process between the Israelis and the Palestinians, for which the Palestinian side has refused to join the negotiations as Trump declared Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Palestinian leaders are eagerly waiting for the mid-term and holding their breath for the outcome.

President Trump has also initiated a massive trade feud with China, where the countries have already imposed tariffs on $380 billion worth of goods. Compared to the United States, China’s response to the battle has been meager, as it too waits for the mid-term.

Major trade negotiations are underway with the European Union, where the looming election outcome would play a crucial role too.

All the major geopolitical battles and negotiations are on hold till November as the opposition parties want to find out, who they are negotiating with, a stronger president with more elected Republicans or a weaker President with Democrats gaining control of the House of Representatives.
