Bibi failed to deliver,
Benjamin Netanyahu despite all his effort failed to form a government. The government could not be formed despite his and President earnest efforts Mr. Netanyahu fell one member short, returning the country to a re-election. Before the deadline ended, the U.S. president himself had weighed in via his tweeter account, “Hoping things will work out with Israel's coalition formation and Bibi and I can continue to make the alliance between America and Israel stronger than ever. A lot more to do!”
Even the U.S. efforts failed to yield results, putting U.S. plans to unveil the popularly called, “Deal of the century” after the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Bib’s failure puts the deal in a limbo as the U.S. might now face oppositions from Israel over the terms of the deal. The oppositions are reportedly not too kind to some parts of the agreement with regard to the status of the Palestinians and settlement withdrawal.
The plan, which has been worked on for more than two years by special team led by Trump’s son in law Jared Kushner, has been delayed quite often In September, President Trump said the plan would be released within four months, which was pushed off because of the Israeli elections, and then again pushed off until after a coalition agreement is formed. Last announcement was for the end of Ramadan, which ends early next month.
And now, as Israel heading to election on September 17, the future of the deal looks even more bleak.
