- Russia-U.S. - Syria: After President Trump’s congratulatory talk with Russian President Vladimir Putin who won the election decisively, reports suggest that U.S. and Russian military officials have begun high-level talks for better coordination in Syria to secure peace in the region.
- U.S. and South Korea trade dispute: U.S. commerce department has granted a permanent exemption to South Korea from president Trump’s Steel tariffs as both countries agreed to amend the free trade agreement (FTA), known as KORUS.
- Italian election: It is now very likely that two Euro-skeptic parties; Lega and Five-Star movement would form a new coalition for governing Italy.
- Korean Peninsula: Preparations have begun for a summit between the U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korea’s Supreme leader Kim Jong-un. According to reports, there will be a preparatory summit between South and North Korea on 29th March at border truce village of Panmunjom.
- Turkey - Syria: Turkey on Sunday said the northern Syrian town of Tal Rifaat would be the next target of its cross-border campaign after the capture of Afrin from Syrian Kurdish militia. "God willing, we will ensure this operation achieves its goal after taking control of Tal Rifaat in a short period of time," President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in the Black Sea city of Trabzon. However, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's government on Monday signaled it may abandon plans to extend a military incursion into Syria to the district of Manbij should the United States fulfill its promises to deal with the threat posed by Kurdish groups.
