Some APIs appeared in GoDaddy’s changelog weeks before its Oct. 15 announcement. The company says access to the platform is free, but did not list service prices.

GoDaddy on Oct. 15 brought domain, Node.js hosting, professional email and online-store tools into a developer platform, giving developers and AI coding agents a shared way to manage online business services.

The company says coding tools can produce applications quickly, while putting them online may require setting up several separate services. It identifies developers, web agencies and technical professionals as intended users, and says AI coding agents can also work with the platform.

Users can search for or buy domains and configure DNS, deploy Node.js applications, set up email mailboxes, and administer online shops, product catalogs, orders and customer records. GoDaddy says the services are available through REST interfaces or its gddy command-line utility.

A single platform identity covers the tools. GoDaddy says personal access tokens can be limited to the product permissions a user needs, while its account safeguards, authorization checks and fraud and abuse monitoring continue to apply.

The hosting service lets users test a Node.js project in a preview before publication, GoDaddy said. It includes HTTPS, firewall protection, content delivery network service and managed MySQL. The company’s hosting documentation says an app must be linked to a Web Hosting plan before it can be published.

The APIs have different dates in GoDaddy’s developer changelog: Commerce is listed from Aug. 27, while Hosting, Email and Shopping are dated Sept. 29. The Oct. 15 announcement describes the broader platform but does not assign a new first-availability date to each API.

GoDaddy says access to the developer platform is free to customers worldwide. Its announcement did not list prices for the services that users can buy or manage through it.

“AI can turn an idea into working software in minutes,” said Hemanth Guntupalli, GoDaddy’s chief technology officer of platforms.

GoDaddy plans to report third-quarter results after U.S. markets close Oct. 29. The company scheduled a webcast for 5 p.m. ET that day.
