Godrej Consumer Products Limited reported a 14% rise in consolidated net profit after tax for the September quarter, as revenue expanded and management outlined how it is responding to higher input costs.

Net profit after tax totaled ₹522.92 crore in Q2 FY27, the three months ended Sept. 30, compared with ₹459.34 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations increased 19% to ₹4,413.09 crore from ₹3,708.19 crore in the year-earlier quarter. Consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) grew 12%, slower than revenue growth.

Underlying volume growth was 8% across the consolidated business. Standalone underlying volumes rose 7%, alongside 13% sales growth. Sales in Indonesia reached ₹538 crore, up 20%, while combined sales in Africa, the United States and the Middle East rose 40% to ₹1,069 crore. The company’s investor presentation put its adjusted operating EBITDA margin at 18.7%, after accounting for business support charges, royalty and technical fees.

Godrej pointed to a muted monsoon season as one factor affecting its India business. Costs tied to crude-linked derivatives, palm oils and other commodities also affected its India and Indonesia portfolios. The company estimated that inflation had a high-single-digit effect across those portfolios. It cited pricing measures and savings efforts as its response.

Managing Director and CEO Aasif Malbari said the company had sustained a combination of high-teens revenue growth, high-single-digit underlying volume growth and double-digit profit growth for a second quarter in a row. Management maintained its FY27 guidance for high-single-digit standalone underlying volume growth and double-digit consolidated revenue and EBITDA growth.

The board declared an interim dividend of ₹5 per share, equal to 500% of the share’s ₹1 face value. Shareholders on record Wednesday, Nov. 4, are eligible, with payment scheduled on or before Nov. 27.
