Google’s Gemini app rose from 950 million monthly active users reported in July to more than one billion by Aug. 11, giving the company a higher disclosed measure of the standalone AI service’s reach.

Google’s Aug. 11 post did not give a precise figure above one billion. The disclosure sets a threshold for the app’s monthly audience without showing how far it exceeded that mark.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai’s July 22 disclosure put Gemini at 950 million monthly active users. He also said daily active users were three times their level a year earlier.

Google also reports monthly reach for AI features built into Search, a separate audience measure from use of the Gemini app. EconoTimes’ earlier coverage of Google’s AI Search figures described those broader product totals.
