Grand Canyon Education, Inc. expects enrollment to rise more than 7% in 2027, with ground and hybrid programs projected to outpace online growth across its three platforms.

For fall 2027, the company projects its strongest gains in ground and hybrid enrollment: more than 10% and the low double digits, respectively. It expects online enrollment to rise 5% to 6%.

Mueller said new enrollment was unchanged across the three platforms in the third quarter. Overall enrollment grew 5.2%, and total revenue rose 2.4%.

Management said weaker new ground enrollment would weigh on Q4 and lowered its projected operating margin. For Q4, management expects online additions to rise in the mid-single digits, citing lead generation and conversion trends. The Q4 estimate covers new online enrollments; the 2027 projection concerns overall online enrollment growth.

The company pointed to Common App, new program launches, its expanded Honors College and a law school as potential sources of growth in fall 2027.
