THOUSAND OAKS, Calif., Nov. 14, 2017 -- GrayMeta, a leading provider of professional media players and metadata solutions for content owners, and Photron, a leading provider of imaging technology and solutions for the global marketplace, today announce a partnership that will bring the GrayMeta Platform to the Japanese market. The partnership will enable Photron customers to benefit from the cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning technology leveraged by the GrayMeta Platform. To introduce this partnership, Photron and GrayMeta will be exhibiting together at the International Broadcast Equipment Exhibition (Inter BEE) 2017, from November 15-17 in Chiba City, Japan.
Available now in Japan, the GrayMeta Platform automatically extracts and creates intelligent metadata on almost any type of digital asset. Automating the identification of people, emotion, sentiment, logos, landmarks, objects, on-screen text, speech-to-text and background audio, insightful data of what is contained within an asset can easily be used to monetize assets like never before. In addition, with the ability to automatically analyze content for nudity and offensive language, content owners can optimize compliance workflows to increase efficiencies and become more profitable.
“We’re excited to collaborate with GrayMeta on offering our clients a solution that delivers intelligent metadata creation,” says Kiyoshi Sano, Executive Director of Photron. “And by leveraging the power of AI and machine learning we will make our clients’ processes more efficient – a mission both GrayMeta and Photron are aligned on.”
Together, Photron and GrayMeta plan to develop an integration between their solutions. By combining the insights created by the GrayMeta Platform with the flexibility of Photron’s miniMAM, content owners will gain access to information that can help to improve processes across the entire media lifecycle.
“Photron has already been an incredibly valuable partner for our Iris solution, and we’re looking forward to further strengthening our partnership with the GrayMeta Platform,” says Tom Szabo, CEO of GrayMeta. “Through this integration, customers of Photron will understand their content like never before, allowing them to be more effective and make more insightful decisions.”
Inter BEE 2017 will take place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba City, Japan, from November 15 - 17. By incorporating both Japanese and international markets, the exhibition has become a steady channel of information for professionals in the media and entertainment industry.
