  • Australia - Unemployment rate for December came at 5.8%, despite -1000 job gains, due to drop in participation rate.

  • China - China might release money supply and loan statistics today.
     
  • Japan - Preliminary reading on Machine tools orders to be released at 6:30 GMT.
     
  • India - Trade deficit for December might get announced today at 6:30 GMT along with WPI inflation data.
     
  • Germany - Germany would announce GDP stat at 9:00 GMT.
     
  • Italy - Industrial production for November to be released at 9:00 GMT.
     
  • UK - BOE would announce monetary policy decision at 12:00 GMT.
     
  • Euro Zone - ECB will release monetary policy minutes at 12:30 GMT.
     
  • Portugal - Consumer price index for December to be released today.
     
  • US - Weekly initial jobless claims will be released at 13:30 GMT, along with terms of trade. FED's Bullard is scheduled to speak at 13:30 GMT. EIA will release weekly natural gas inventory at 15:30 GMT.
     
  • Canada - New housing price index to be released at 13:30 GMT.
     
  • New Zealand - Food price index for December to be released at 21:45 GMT.
     
  • Auctions - US will auction 30 year bond at 18:00 GMT.
