Lot of economic dockets be released today. All with low to medium risks associated.

Data released so far 

  • Australia - Export price index dropped -5.4% in fourth quarter, while import price index dropped by -0.3%.

Upcoming 

  • Germany - Import price index for December will be released at 7:00 GMT. HICP inflation will be released at 13:00 GMT.
  • Spain - Fourth quarter unemployment survey will be released at 8:00 GMT, along with retail sales for December.
  • China - Conference board leading economic index may get released today.
  • Italy - Wage inflation for December will be released at 9:00 GMT.
  • UK - Flash reading on fourth quarter GDP will be released today. Conference board distributive trade survey will be released at 11:00 GMT.
  • Euro Zone - Sentiment data such as consumer confidence, services sentiment, industrial confidence, business climate and economic sentiment indicator all will be released at 10:00 GMT.
  • Portugal - Business and consumer confidence will be released today.
  • US - Weekly initial jobless claims will be released at 13:30 GMT, along with durable goods orders. Pending home sales data will be released at 15:00 GMT, followed by Kansas FED manufacturing activity at 16:00 GMT. EIA will release weekly natural gas inventory report at 15:30 GMT.
  • New Zealand - Building permits for December will be released at 21:45 GMT.
  • Japan - Lots of data from Japan today. National CPI for December at 23:30 GMT, along with Tokyo CPI for January, unemployment rate, job to applicants' ratio, household spending, all at 23:30 GMT. Flash reading on Industrial production will be released at 23:50 GMT.
