Data released so far -

  • Australia - Consumer inflation expectations rose to 3.7% for August, up from 3.4% in July.

Upcoming -

  • Germany - Consumer price index along with HICP to be released at 6:00 GMT.

  • France - Consumer inflation data to be released at 6:45 GMT.

  • Spain - Consumer inflation data scheduled for release at 7:00 GMT.

  • Switzerland - Producer price index to be released at 7:15 GMT.

  • Greece - preliminary reading on second quarter GDP to be published at 9:00 GMT.

  • India - Trade deficit for June might be released today at 11:30 GMT.

  • Euro zone - ECB will release monetary policy accounts at 11:30 GMT.

  • US - Initial jobless claims to be released at 12:30 GMT, along with retail sales for July and terms of trade. EIA will release weekly natural gas inventory report at 14:30 GMT.

  • Canada - Canada will release new house prices for July at 12:30 GMT.

  • New Zealand - Retail sales to be announced at 22:45 GMT for second quarter.

  • Auction - US will auction 30 year bonds today.
