Data released so far -
- Australia - Building permits rose by 4.2% m/m in July, up 13.4% from a year ago. Current account balance for second quarter improved to 19 billion compared to 13.5 billion prior. Reserve Bank of Australia held rates steady.
- China - NBS manufacturing PMI dropped to 49.7 compared to 50 prior and non-manufacturing PMI dropped to 53.4 from 53.9 prior. Caixin China services PMI dropped to 51.5 from 53.8 prior and manufacturing PMI came at 47.3, better than prior 47.1.
- Spain - Manufacturing PMI came at 53.2, lower than prior 53.6.
- Japan - PMI for August dropped to 51.7 from 51.9 prior.
- Germany - Markit manufacturing PMI rose to 53.3 from 53.2 prior. Unemployment dropped by 7000, while rate remained at 6.4% in August.
- Switzerland - PMI rose above 50 to 52.2 in August compared to 48.7 in July.
- Italy - Manufacturing PMI dropped to 53.8 from 55.3. Unemployment rate dropped to 12% from 12.5% prior.
- Greece - Manufacturing PMI improved to 39.1 from record low of 30 in July.
- Euro Zone - Markit manufacturing PMI dropped marginally to 52.3 from 52.4 prior. Unemployment rate hit lowest level in 3.5 years, dropped below 11% to 10.9%

- Canada - GDP data for second quarter to be released at 12:30 GMT, followed by RBC manufacturing PMI at 13:30 GMT.
- US - Redbook index to be released at 12:55 GMT, followed by Markit manufacturing PMI at 13:45 GMT and ISM manufacturing PMI at 14:00 GMT, along with TIPP economic optimism and construction spending.
- New Zealand - Today there will be global dairy auction.
- Auctions - US will auction 4 month bills at 15:30 GMT.
