In an Oct. 28, 2026, Form 8-K filed with the SEC, HF Sinclair Corporation said President and Chief Operating Officer Steve Ledbetter will become CEO Jan. 1, 2027, as current chief executive Franklin Myers shifts to executive chair.

The board approved Ledbetter’s appointment Oct. 26, 2026.

Myers will stay on as chief executive through the handoff, then serve as executive chairperson until the company completes its plan to pursue a separation of its Lubricants & Specialties segment. The filing says Myers will advise on that plan in the chair role.

HF Sinclair also plans to expand its board and appoint Ledbetter as a director later. The filing did not give a date for that appointment.
