Hanwha Investment & Securities is developing a global real-world asset tokenization platform with Chainlink infrastructure, setting out planned roles for data and cross-blockchain transfers as it explores products with asset managers.

Hanwha announced the partnership Thursday, Oct. 29. The platform is expected to draw on Chainlink data when calculating asset prices and net asset values (NAV). Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) is intended to link public and private blockchains, allowing tokenized assets and related liquidity to move between them.

The company is discussing possible products with global asset managers and issuers. Hanwha's statement offered no named assets or issuers and set no date for the platform's launch.

The two companies plan a working group to assess institutional use cases and needs for custody, compliance, valuation, reserve checks and collateral standards. The announcement left open whether the platform would require LINK or create demand for the token.

The partnership follows LG CNS’ work with Chainlink on South Korean digital-asset services.
