In this role, Dr. Herbelin will be responsible for the company’s overall clinical vision and leadership.
In recent years, Matrix has significantly expanded the clinical services it provides via in home visits and its new chronic care management program. The new leadership and expertise that Dr. Herbelin brings will allow Matrix to continue its path of clinical innovation, quality and impact.
Dr. Herbelin is a healthcare industry expert and physician executive with more than 15 years of experience providing thought leadership, vision and strategy to drive transformational clinical solutions. Most recently, Dr. Herbelin has served as an independent physician executive consultant providing clinical leadership to clients including health plans, healthcare service delivery companies and technology ventures.

Prior to being a consultant, Dr. Herbelin held leadership roles at UnitedHealthcare and Optum Technology where Dr. Herbelin led several transformative initiatives that drove value across the enterprise and resulted in him receiving the company’s CEO Innovation Award. For each company he served, Dr. Herbelin’s contributions were instrumental in developing successful clinical programs, driving innovative technological solutions and providing strategic vision to align the objectives of clinical leadership and business executives.
