ESS News reported that HiTHIUM has long-duration storage orders extending to year-end 2027, while the company announced 200 GWh in cumulative shipments at an Oct. 15 ceremony in Chongqing.
ESS News attributed the order update to HiTHIUM co-founder and CEO Jason Wang, who spoke at a media briefing that day. The outlet said the company did not disclose the contracted volume.
HiTHIUM said shipments began at the end of 2021 and exceeded 100 GWh in August 2025. EconoTimes previously covered the company's 200 GWh shipment milestone. ESS News noted that the cumulative figure tracks deliveries, not how much storage is already in use.
InfoLink Consulting said policy support and growing demand contributed to tight supply and demand for storage cells in the first half of 2026.
HiTHIUM plans to scale up its integrated, kAh-class long-duration storage system and extend its offerings across the chain, from cells to the grid. The company gave no timetable for the rollout. Wang said the ability to connect capabilities across the value chain is becoming a more important basis for competition.
