Leverage on a Hyperliquid account’s oil positions rose to about 9x by Nov. 5 even as their combined value stayed near $148 million and unrealized losses expanded to about $13 million.
The snapshot valued 1 million BRENT at $95.9 million and 581,000 CL at $52.2 million. As crude prices weakened, the trader boosted BRENT exposure and sent its remaining USDC to the platform; the CL position stayed at 581,000.
The account’s combined exposure was about $800,000 lower on Nov. 3, when 869,000 BRENTOIL was valued at $91.1 million and 581,000 CL at $56.2 million. Leverage was then 7.8x, while unrealized losses were about $1 million.
The $13 million reflects losses on open positions. An earlier EconoTimes report on the account’s cumulative losses put the total at $16.02 million, including losses from past trades and the shortfall on the open Brent position.
