Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. is linking its planned move to the Nasdaq Global Select Market to its technology ambitions, including artificial intelligence tools for trip planning and digital messages tailored to guests.
The hotel company said those efforts are intended to benefit guests and hotel owners. It has also named Jeff Moore executive vice president and chief technology officer, with a planned start date of Oct. 26. Hilton has not tied a specific financial benefit to the listing change.
Hilton announced the planned move from the New York Stock Exchange on Oct. 20. Its securities filing says Nasdaq has approved the listing. Hilton expects trading on the NYSE to end at the Nov. 4 regular-session close and its shares to begin trading on Nasdaq at the Nov. 5 open. The HLT ticker will stay the same.
The company said the change of exchange will leave its business strategy and capital allocation priorities intact. Hilton has not announced any expected listing savings or costs.
Hilton is scheduled to release its third-quarter results before the market opens Oct. 27 and hold a conference call at 9 a.m. ET.
