SAN FRANCISCO and NEW YORK, Aug. 03, 2017 -- Hotwire, the global PR & communications agency, today announced the launch of Hotwire Social Impact, a new practice dedicated to working with non-profits and governmental agencies. The new practice, led by Aidan Lukomnik, will focus on four core areas: digital and social media strategy, media relations, influencer engagement, and creative campaigns.
Hotwire Social Impact was created in response to the overwhelming desire of the Hotwire team to partner with organizations whose missions are at the intersections of social responsibility, innovation, community building and technology. Individual charitable giving in the United States has reached an all-time high of $10.53 billion, and organizations have the opportunity to leverage this funding to increase their impact with programing that benefits their key audiences. Hotwire is uniquely positioned to provide integrated marketing and communication services that are not traditionally staffed in non-profits in order to expand the impact of these organizations. Hotwire Social Impact’s portfolio includes: The New Teacher Center, Anita Borg Institute, and Grand Central Tech.
“Working with public sector clients is not new for Hotwire. For the last 25 years, we have worked with leading organizations across multiple sectors – from technology companies transforming the way we live to non-profits bettering the communities we live in – we are always looking to partner with those affecting positive change,” said Heather Kernahan, President of Hotwire North America. “Community building has always been a core value of Hotwire, and Hotwire Social Impact gives us another opportunity to support initiatives bringing meaningful change to society.”
Kamilah Jones, VP of Marketing & External Affairs at New Teacher Center, a Hotwire Social Impact client, shared, “Hotwire has helped us increase engagement with key stakeholders by creating an interactive annual report, showcasing our direct impact on teacher effectiveness and student learning. Their partnership led to measureable success and made it easy for us to choose Hotwire to refresh our website as well.”
