Huhtamäki Oyj confirmed a one-year extension of its EUR 450 million syndicated revolving credit facility, setting Nov. 7, 2031, as its termination date; the company said the facility is for general corporate purposes.

The extension was made under an option in the facility agreement, according to the company’s Oct. 16 announcement. Huhtamäki signed the multi-currency facility on Nov. 12, 2024, as a five-year arrangement to refinance an existing EUR 400 million facility. The agreement included two one-year extension options at lenders’ discretion.

Huhtamäki announced an earlier one-year extension on Oct. 27, 2025, setting the termination date at Nov. 8, 2030. The company’s announcements do not explain the one-day difference between that date and the new termination date.

The facility’s interest margin is linked to Huhtamäki’s absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions, the share of non-hazardous waste recycled and its EcoVadis rating. The company’s 2025 annual report says the margin adjusts according to how many of the three targets are achieved.
