12 accounts opened or rebuilt Hyperliquid (HYPE) positions worth at least $1 million within about 30 minutes of Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) announcing its deal with Trade[XYZ] on Thursday, according to TradingBeats monitoring cited by Lookonchain.
TradingBeats monitoring put the nine accounts’ long positions at $29.3173 million and the three accounts’ shorts at $8.0435 million, leaving net long exposure of $21.2738 million. TradingBeats’ rounded figures were $29.32 million in longs, $8.04 million in shorts and $21.27 million net long.
TradingBeats monitoring put the 0x9e2c account’s share at 43.5% of the group’s long exposure. Its 150,000-token holding had an $82.47 average entry and a value of about $12.75 million, with roughly $383,500 in reported unrealized gains, the monitoring showed.
ICE and Trade[XYZ] plan to use Hyperliquid infrastructure for a U.S. market and clearing system covering perpetual contracts on crypto and other assets. ICE said it would manage the new retail service separately, so customers in its institutional futures and clearing business would not bear the platform’s trading or counterparty risk. ICE expects the arrangement to expand its retail business, while Trade[XYZ] would receive a strategic investment. Regulatory approvals are required before the market can operate.
